Harnessing the potent Yang of the Sunrise was our focus through Dao Wu Zang Qigong on 5/31/21. We also steeped ourselves in the movements of the Cosmos by consciously revolving our Microcosmic Orbit and imagining the singularity/black hole at our center of gravity, around which the orbit rotates. Resilience and Presence were this day’s qigong rewards!
This iteration of Sunrise Qigong, on 5/24/21, we focused on the Form Guigen Qigong. Another form that completely encompasses the exchange of Yin and Yang through the body as well as the regulation and expression of each of the 5 Elements’ respective organs. This potent qigong leaves you feeling more full of life and well regulated to sustain it.
YiJing Qigong Form with the Sunrise for 5/17/21. This magnificent Form was created by my teacher (Dr. Daju Suzanne Friedman) as a great way for a practitioner of the healing arts (acupuncture, herbalism, medical qigong, etc.) to have a full routine that connects them to Earth and Heaven, cleanses and prepares their body for the coming undertaking and boosts up the ol’ biobatteries to make sure their treatments are impactful. With Healing Qigong like This Sunrise’s, each one of us can be their own impactful healer for ourselves and our loved ones.
This Sunrise Qigong class on 5/10/21 brought us the Dao Wu Zang Qigong Form, along with a standing meditation called Zhan Zhuang. The Five Zang or “solid organs” are associated with the 5 Elements. We saturate with each Element in this Form, allowing our awareness to give rise to new understanding of the functions of these remarkable Solid Organs. Zhan Zhuang gave us a chance to strengthen the Qi after the filling and circulating of those 5 Elements through their respective organs.
Another opportunity for Sunrise Qigong with the Eight Brocades on 5/3/21. Repetition of a Form not only builds muscle memory, it also allows for deeper internal awareness of the subtle Qi movements. When utilizing imagery to enhance this persistent flow of Qi, we become more harmonious with our emotions (which are Qi!!) and with our environment (which is also Qi!!)
The first Sunrise Qigong Forms class, 4/26/21, where we focused on the Eight Brocades Qigong Form. By allowing the body and mind to flow through these Eight Gems, all of the organs and major energy centers of the body are flushed, saturated, regulated and strengthened. I great way to start any day!
